We have established publishing packages for authors wishing to self publish their books and these include the premier, standard and basic. We will also tailor a solution for your specific requirements.

Premier Service £1490.00

With our Premier Service the manuscript is proof read and the cover can be designed by one of our graphic artists. When the proof read manuscript is approved we prepare the layout and typography and submit proofs. Authors receive a sample copy of their work to check for printing errors before the book is released for sale. Authors receive 5 review copies of their book free and thereafter these are available at print cost plus 15 percent of the retail price (PoD books only).

  • Supplying ISBN required for all ordering by retail and on line outlets
  • Published in paperback or hard back
  • One sample copy plus ten free review copies
  • Submission of statutory six copies to Legal Deposit Libraries
  • Annual Book Maintenance – applies to all titles for keeping a book ‘in print’
  • Royalties (PoD only) – Every time a copy of your book is sold you receive royalties
  • Copyright – You retain the copyright when publishing with Dolman Scott
  • Availability – Your book can be ordered from book shops and on-line outlets in the UK. It
  • can also be ordered from book shops in the USA and many book shops and online outlets
  • worldwide.

Standard Service £640.00

Our Standard service is ideal if you have a proof read manuscript and you have text and an image (photograph) for the cover. Authors receive a sample copy of their work to check for printing errors before the book is released for retail sale. Authors are then given five review copies of their book (extra if hard back) free and thereafter these are available at print cost plus 20 percent of the retail price.

  • Royalties (PoD only) – You receive royalties on every copy sold
  • Copyright – You retain the copyright when using Dolman Scott

  • It can also be ordered from book shops in the USA and many book shops and online outlets
  • worldwide.
Basic service – £295.00

You supply complete print ready files for the cover and for the text pages to our specifications for us to set up on our server. (Please note we are unable to provide support for this service so, if you have any doubts, please make use of the standard service)

Ebook – From £350.00

This is our premium point service for titles of all types. This provides production, publication, distribution and promotion in a secure and professional, downloadable eBook format. This offers comprehensive market coverage to all the available EBook retail sales channels worldwide including Amazon (Kindle reader), Sony (Sony Reader), Mobile Phone Networks, IPhone and IPad through the Ibook store.

A. If we are publishing this book as a ‘Print on Demand’(PoD) book it can be available for sale in both the UK and the USA as well as other countries.

A. If a PoD book then it can be ordered in most countries in the world.
Q. Will my book be available for sale on Amazon.co.uk?
A. If a PoD book, yes, it will. It can also be ordered from Amazon.com if we set it up in the USA.
Q. Do you have a list of editors who can help me with my book before I submit it?
A. Yes and we can also arrange for proof reading and reviews.
Q. Can I insert pictures or illustrations in my PoD book?
A. Yes, but we will advise on their suitablity for reproduction
Q. How long before my PoD book is available to buy through bookshops?
A. Generally between 3 and 5 weeks
Q. Will my book be on the bookshelves of major/or local bookshops?
A. Not unless you arrange it yourself or take up one of our book marketing options.
