Published in October 2025 by the not-for-profit platform Wilder World, “Wilder Britain” is a 184-page coffee table book showcasing British wildlife from Shetland to Cornwall.
65 U.K.-wide wildlife photographers of highest pedigree as well as lesser-known young talent have contributed to this collaborative volume under stewardship of Lancashire wildlife photographer Irene Amiet.
All money raised through book sales will go to carefully selected re-wilding projects in the U.K.
“The support from photographers has been amazing. The biggest challenge was finding work that spotlights each photographer’s style and local patch but to make the images flow together for a congruent journey through our shires,” says Mrs Amiet. “Curating and editing the book was an absolute privilege.”
The title shows a red deer stag in Inverness-shire taken by Neil McIntyre but wildlife images put anything from foxes to frogs and badgers, basking sharks and butterflies into the spotlight in their natural habitats, photographed ethically and without bait.
The book is a treasure chest of collectible wildlife photography and potentially the first in a series, depending on public demand and support.
